RFDA Basic
The RFDA basic is designed for manual impulse excitation measurements at room temperature. The RFDA basic system measures the resonant frequencies and internal friction or damping of samples and calculates the Young’s modulus, shear modulus, Poisson’s ratio of rectangular bars, cylindrical rods and discs according to the ASTM E1876-15 standard.
The samples are mechanically tapped by hand using a small flexible hammer. The induced vibration signal is detected with a USB-microphone and afterwards, the elastic properties are calculated by the dedicated RFDA basic software. The user-friendly interface allows an easy interpretation and logging of the results.
